Corporate Holiday Party
The McDonald's Millennium
Holiday Party
Universal Sheraton,
Universal City, California
December 11, 1999
600 guests
McDonald's asked us to create a classy, but festive atmosphere for their
Millennium Event. We designed silver sequined linens and giant martini glass
floral centerpieces to give the party an elegant feel. Guests were amazed by
our dinner entertainment: a twenty-minute circus group performance including
comedy, juggling, contortion, and gymnastics.

Corporate GALA CELEBRATION
Software Technologies Corporation I.P.O. Gala,
The Hollywood Palladium,
Hollywood, California
August 5, 2000
500 guests
To celebrate their initial public offering, Eventmakers transformed the
Hollywood Palladium to stage a one-of-a-kind celebration. We used colorful linen
spandex technology and holograph uprights to give the space a vibrant, futuristic
look. The stage was backed by a 30' wide fiber optic star curtain that
continuously morphed from one color to another.
Guests entered the Palladium on a red carpet - surrounded by actors who
played screaming fans jockeying for autographs and paparazzi snapping flash
pictures - while being filmed on live action cameras for the guests already
inside watching on 9 X 12' IMAG screens. Eventmakers also used dancers on
stilts, contortionists from CIRQUE DU SOLIEL®, and Mr. Silver® to help greet
the guests. Inside, a 70s show band played to a packed dance floor underneath
a dazzling color laser and video display.

Corporate Picnic
The Ernst & Young Beach Bash,
Laguna Niguel, Salt Creek, California
September 23, 2000
1200 guests
Eventmakers used colorful market umbrellas to shade more than 700 guests on
the gorgeous beach at Laguna Niguel. We arranged a full day's worth of outdoor
entertainment with Barnaby's Wild Bingo Stunt Show and other games including
Moon Bounce, Volleyball, and Wacky Wax®, where guests make wax hand sculptures
and custom airbrush face paintings.

Morinda International Convention
Anaheim Convention Center,
Anaheim, California
August 2000
4000 guests
Eventmakers designed an awesome, large-scale event for the Morinda
International Convention, featured in the June 2000 issue of Special Events
Magazine. The four day convention hosted an international clientele of over
4000 guests, and consisted of a General Session, Welcome Reception and closing
night gala.
In preparation for the General Session we custom built a 80' X 40' Tahitian
theme stage with a 15' waterfall. For entertainment, we designed an indoor
pyrotechnics show and flew in a Tahitian dance troop. Afterwards, we featured
four stars from the United States Women's World Cup Soccer Team as guest
speakers.
The centerpiece of the Welcome Reception was an incredible buffet divided
into five zones: The Great White North, Asia, Latin America, Hollywood, and
the Tropics. We complemented each zone with entertainment from the appropriate
region, including Cloggers, Glassblowers, a Koto player, stilt walkers, flamenco
dancers and a karate demonstration.
The highpoint of the convention was the closing night gala featuring a lavish
sit-down dinner and a 41 piece orchestra playing hit selections such as: Phantom
of the Opera, Hooray for Hollywood and the theme from Star Wars. Look-a-likes
including Marilyn Monroe, Kramer, Lucy, and Jay Leno interviewed guests with
live-action cameras as they entered the venue. Guests were seated in color-coded
table grids corresponding to their native countries.

The Morinda US Convention
The Coronado Springs Resort, Orlando Florida
August 14 - 17, 2000
2,000 guests
One of five U.S. conventions taking place in Orlando, Florida, this three day
event featured a Welcome Dessert Reception, a General Session, and a Birthday
Gala Bash. Over 2000 guests were in attendance.
For the Birthday Gala Bash, Eventmakers designed neon stand-up cocktail and
guest tables, and used Gobo projections of abstract confetti and streamers on
the wall to give the room a bright and festive look. Featured entertainment on
the main stage included: Big Elvis, the Balloon Man, stilt dancers, and the NBA
Halftime Dog Show.
During the middle of the event, we secretly hid five company executives in
custom designed 4' high birthday cakes and wheeled them out into the ballroom.
On cue, they popped out of the cakes and we released 1000 balloons from
overhead.
